Heres is some basic information and things to condsider when designing your room.
- Cold rooms are rooms above 0°C with 75mm or 100mm panel
- Freezer rooms are rooms below 0°C with 150m panel
- General access doors - Swing or sliding?
- Glass & solid door inserts
- Shelving - Always forgotten wtih new builds
- Man trapped alarm & bells - These are required by law to ensure safety of staff
- Under floor heating - Is room on suspended flooring? ie. Floor boards
- Compressor location & compressor technology
- Drainage
- Power supply - 3phase or single phase
- Remote monitoring & data logging of rooms to monitor, record temperatures and prevent breakdowns
